Ralle LLC (“Ralle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ralle.app website and the Ralle tennis team management application (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

When you create an account or use the Service, you may provide us with:

  • Account information: Email address and password when creating an account. You may also provide a display name and profile photo.
  • Tennis profile: NTRP rating, play style (singles, doubles, or both), dominant hand, court preference (ad, deuce, or either), and gender. This information supports team coordination and lineup features.
  • Contact information: Phone number, collected to enable SMS-based team invitations. Phone number collection and SMS messaging are optional features.
  • Team information: Team name, team format (singles/doubles), home facility, and roster details you enter as a team captain or player.
  • Match and scheduling data: Match dates, locations, availability responses, and lineup assignments you submit through the platform.
  • Communication content: Team messages and other content shared through the platform's coordination features.
  • Feedback and correspondence: Information you provide when contacting us for support or providing feedback.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you access or use the Service, we may automatically collect:

  • Device and usage information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, and time spent on pages.
  • Location information: Approximate location based on IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit permission.
  • Analytics data: We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with our Service. These tools only collect data after you have consented via our cookie consent banner.

1.3 Facility and Tournament Directory Data

Our marketing site includes a directory of tennis facilities and tournaments. This directory contains:

  • Facility business information: Names, addresses, court counts, surface types, amenities, contact details, and operating hours compiled from publicly available sources including the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and public business directories.
  • Tournament listings: Tournament names, dates, locations, entry fees, and skill-level requirements sourced from publicly available tournament listings including USTA and Universal Tennis (UTR).
  • AI-generated descriptions: Descriptive content about tennis facilities generated using artificial intelligence. These descriptions are created to be informative but may not reflect real-time or current conditions. Facility operators may request corrections at ralle.app/data-correction.

We do not publicly display Google Maps star ratings, user-generated reviews, or other Google-proprietary user content. Our database may retain limited business metadata (such as phone numbers and operating hours) sourced from public directories, used solely to support facility search features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including team coordination, match scheduling, lineup management, and availability tracking.
  • Display tennis facility and tournament information to help users find venues and events.
  • Send team-related communications such as match invitations, lineup notifications, and availability requests to phone numbers you or your captain have provided for this purpose.
  • Send you service-related email communications (account confirmations, security notices). These cannot be opted out of while maintaining an active account.
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security concerns.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Within the Service

  • When you join a team, your name, NTRP rating, and availability responses are visible to your captain and teammates.
  • Team captains can view rosters and player profiles for teams they manage.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party service providers who process your information on our behalf under contractual data protection obligations. These providers assist with hosting, database management, authentication, email and SMS delivery, website analytics (with your consent), and content management. We do not share your personal information with these providers beyond what is necessary for them to perform their services.

Other Disclosures

  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or governmental request.
  • Safety: We may disclose information where necessary to protect the safety of any person or to prevent illegal activity.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you via email and a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before any such transfer.

4. Third-Party Data Sources and Disclaimer

Our facility and tournament directory is compiled from publicly available sources. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee that all details are current or complete. Facility operators and tournament organizers may request corrections or removal of their information (see Section 8).

We use artificial intelligence to generate descriptive content about tennis facilities. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. Please contact facilities directly to confirm operating details before visiting.

5. Data Retention

We retain different categories of data for different periods:

  • Account and profile data: Retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, removed from active systems within 30 days. Backups are purged on their normal rotation schedule (typically 90 days).
  • Team and match data: Retained for 3 years after the last team activity to support historical records. Anonymized or deleted upon your deletion request.
  • Availability and communication data: Retained for 2 years after creation.
  • Invitation logs: Retained for 2 years for TCPA compliance and security purposes.
  • Facility and tournament directory data: Retained on an ongoing basis as part of our public directory service.
  • Analytics data: Governed by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity data retention settings (default: 14 months for GA4).

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time. See Section 7.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted database storage via Supabase, encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and authentication protocols. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information. We will process requests within 30 calendar days and confirm completion. Note that some information may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days following deletion from active systems.
  • Opt-out of SMS: Reply STOP to any text message from Ralle at any time, or update your notification preferences in your account settings.
  • Opt-out of marketing email: Follow the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email.
  • Withdraw analytics consent: Update your cookie preferences at any time via the consent banner at the bottom of our website.

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact privacy@ralle.app.

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Other U.S. States: Several U.S. states have enacted comprehensive privacy laws that may provide you with additional rights. Please contact privacy@ralle.app to exercise your state law rights.

8. Facility and Tournament Data: Corrections and Removal

If you are a facility operator, coach, tournament director, or individual whose information appears in our directory, you have the right to:

  • Request correction of inaccurate information about your facility or event.
  • Request removal of personal information (such as your name) from our directory.
  • Request removal of your facility or tournament listing entirely.

Submit requests at ralle.app/data-correction or email privacy@ralle.app. We aim to process all requests within 15 business days.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@ralle.app and we will delete that information promptly.

Regarding 13-17 year olds: Users between 13 and 17 are welcome to use the Service. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian should be aware of and agree to your use of the Service. Tennis contexts (particularly USTA junior leagues) may involve players under 18. Team captains who manage junior teams are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental permission for their players' participation.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for essential website functionality and, with your consent, for analytics.

  • Essential cookies: Required for login sessions, security, and core functionality. Cannot be disabled while using the Service.
  • Analytics cookies: Used to understand site usage. Only set after you grant consent via our cookie banner. Includes Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising purposes.

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clicking the cookie preferences link in the footer.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. We will also post the updated policy on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. For non-material changes, posting on this page constitutes sufficient notice.
