Portola Competitive Tennis Series runs two afternoons of matchplay at Ashraf Tennis in Irvine, with players split into level-based groups to ensure competitive sets. You'll play 1-2 matches between 3 and 6pm on courts grouped by UTR, so you're facing players at your level rather than getting run off the court or grinding through easy wins. Format is one set to 6 games, no-ad scoring, keeping things tight and fast. $35 entry.
