We host The UTR PTT (Pro Tennis Tour) 25K tournaments at the Rick Macci Tennis and Fitness Center. See the UTR site for a list of dates, requirements to play and other pertinent information.

THE BATTLE OF BOCA is a UTR Tournament which IS HELD EVERY WEEKEND AND IS OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS with a 4.0.+ UTR!! Tournament Director can use their discretion and issue a WC to a player to play in the Battle of Boca.

This event will include Men's/Women's Singles and Men's/Women's doubles In order for there to be a Doubles draw we must have a minimum of 8 teams. There are weekends when doubles will not be offered,

Current and former college players are welcome.

Matches will begin Saturday morning. Times will be announced when draws are posted on Friday afternoon/early evening.

If the tournament is a 128 draw or there are several hours of inclement weather throughout the weekend it is possible the finals as well as other rounds will be played on TUESDAY! Tuesday will be final day for tournament no matter what round we are in, and prize money will be given to the round the player is in.

TD has the right to create additional draws to create equal play. Both draws will feed into backdraw.

Prize Money will be given on the spot at the tournament!!

If there are 95 entries that does NOT MEAN 96+. THAT WOULD BE IN THE 64+ CATEGORY.

IF FOR WHATEVER REASON PLAYERS SPLIT THE MONEY IN THE FINALS, THEY DO NOT SPLIT THE CHAMPIONSHIP MONEY AND THE FINALIST MONEY......THEY WOULD SPLIT ONLY THE CHAMPIONSHIP MONEY IF THE MATCH IS NOT PLAYED.

All money awarded is only for the round reached and played.

If you withdraw/retire during a money round you receive 50% of the prize money.

BACKDRAW: All players that want to be entered in the backdraw must sign in on the Backdraw Entry Form at the Tournament Desk within 30 minutes after their match is completed.

If you withdraw or default from singles for any reason you are NOT PERMITTED to play back draw or doubles. There are NO exceptions!!

Referees will be on the side 24/7.

Best two out of 3 sets with a third set 10 Point Tiebreak...... No Ad scoring in all rounds!

BACKDRAW:

Best two out of 3 short sets to 4 with a 10 Point Tiebreak if split sets. Tiebreak is at 4-4 not 3-3. No Ad scoring

If bad weather can go short sets in main draw.

DOUBLES: There Must be a minimum of 8 doubles teams registered to have a doubles draw….

1 set to 6 no ad......stop and replay lets same as singles...tiebreak at 6-6 to 7

DOUBLES PRIZE MONEY:

Winning Team receives 50% of the total doubles entry fees minus $80 for finalist

Finalist Team receives entry fee back.

WITHDRAW: To withdraw please email Jason@battleofboca.com prior to Friday 3:00PM EST! Refunds will only be issued if you withdraw before that time. *****NO EXCEPTIONS*****!!

PLEASE DON'T MESSAGE THROUGH UTR WEBSITE. We might not see the withdrawal in time. If you withdraw to play another Tournament/event within 100 miles you will not receive a refund!!

BOTH players must report to the tournament desk within 15 minutes after completion of the match to report score. PLEASE COME TOGETHER TO REPORT SCORE SO THERE ARE NO DISCREPANCIES. WE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE IT LATER.

All foreign players will have 30% tax automatically deducted from their prize money. No Exceptions.

WEATHER: If bad weather persists we will do the best we can to finish every draw. Once the draw has been published we do NOT refund or give credits. The back draw unfortunately is not a guarantee if bad weather is consistent for an entire day or many hours throughout the weekend. Main draw would be a priority. Once the first match of the tournament is played no refunds/credits are issued if bad weather occurs. Tuesday can be used as a make-up rain day!!!

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

The Rules, Regulations, and Codes of Conduct adopted and published by the UTR will govern all play. All main draw singles matches will be two sets with match tiebreak as the third set to ten points. Each doubles match shall be a pro set to 6. No-ad scoring will be used for both Singles and Doubles. Off Court Coaching is permitted. Rules are displayed at the Tournament Desk. Rules can be tweaked and coaching can be eliminated at any time. The default will be declared 15 minutes after the match is called. UTR Suspensions apply to all age divisions.

SUSPENSIONS:

Players suspended by the UTR, ITF or their home federations will not be able to compete in the BATTLE OF BOCA.
